Dashboard Overview

Dashboard is an editable page. It starts with a useful layout, then lets you arrange the information you check most often: balances, recent activity, monthly flow, and reports.

The page is saved in your .cents file. Your layout, block names, page options, and the options chosen for each block travel with the file.

What Dashboard is for #

• getting a fast read on the month
• keeping your most useful balances and recent activity in one place
• creating report snapshots that keep their own filters and display choices
• using a layout that fits the way you review your finances

Dashboard is a starting point, not a replacement for the full Accounts, Budget, Transactions, or Reports workspaces. Use the block actions and drilldowns to move into those areas when you need more detail.

The viewed month #

Many Dashboard blocks use the month selected in the app header. For example, monthly flow cards, balance activity, and a report set to Selected Month update when you change that picker. A report can instead use its own independent date range.

Start editing #

Open the File menu and choose Edit Page. In edit mode, Dashboard shows insertion controls, drag handles, and related actions. Changes stay in a local draft until you choose Save & Exit. You can also choose Discard & Exit to abandon the draft.

The page-level related actions menu includes:

• Page Options for the page name and whether it appears outside edit mode
• Clear Page to remove every block from the draft
• Reset to Default to restore the built-in Dashboard layout

Reset and clear affect the current edit draft. Save the page to make either change part of the file.
