Default Layout

New files begin with the built-in Dashboard layout. It is a starting point, not a requirement: you can edit it, clear it, or restore it later with Reset to Default.

The default page name is Dashboard, and it is hidden outside edit mode so the information starts at the top of the page.

First row #

The first row has two three-column lanes.

Left lane #

1. Spending report — a category breakdown displayed as a donut chart. It follows the month selected in the app header and shows the report title, dates, and summary cards. Its breakdown-detail list starts hidden.
2. Month Inflow, Month Outflow, and Net Flow — three one-column cards on the same subrow.
3. Account Balances — shows account balance only, without grouping by account type. Clicking an account opens that account. The list is sorted by type and account name.

Right lane #

Category Balances shows Outflow and Balance, without grouping categories. It follows Budget Order.

Second row #

Recent Activity spans all six columns. It shows Date, Account, Type, Payee, Category, Label, Note, and Amount. Selecting a transaction does not open the edit transaction sheet by default.

What changes with the month picker #

The Spending report uses Selected Month, so it updates when you change the header month. The monthly flow cards and the monthly activity displayed in Account and Category Balances also reflect the selected month.

Restore the default #

1. Choose Edit Page from the File menu.
2. Open the page related actions menu beside Save & Exit.
3. Choose Reset to Default and confirm.
4. Choose Save & Exit.

Reset replaces the page name, page options, layout, and block options with the built-in configuration. It does not change your accounts, categories, transactions, labels, or saved reports.
