15. Settings
Settings Overview
Learn what kinds of behavior Common Cents settings can change and which settings can reveal or hide optional parts of the app.
Settings in Common Cents do three different jobs:
- they change everyday app behavior
- they change how the app looks and opens
- they enable or disable optional workflows
Some settings are simple preferences. Others control whether whole parts of the app appear at all.

How the Settings area is organized #
The Settings modal has two layers:
- the main option pages such as General, Appearance, File / Export, and Features
- feature-specific detail pages that only appear when the related feature is enabled
Those feature-detail pages are still part of the same settings system, even when they are not listed as standalone docs pages here.
