Appearance
Adjust the visual settings that change how Common Cents looks and feels while you work.
Appearance settings are about comfort, readability, and how the Combo Palette opens.
Why they matter #
If you use Common Cents often, even small visual adjustments can make the app easier to trust and faster to scan.
Theme #
The Theme section chooses how the app should look overall.
The page also shows the current system preference so you can tell what System mode will follow right now.
System #
System follows your device or operating-system theme preference.
Choose this if you want Common Cents to switch automatically when your computer switches between light and dark appearances.
Light #
Light always uses the light theme, even if your device preference is dark.
Dark #
Dark always uses the dark theme, even if your device preference is light.
Combo Palette #
The Combo Palette section controls which mode opens first when you launch the palette and which mode button is the largest in the group of buttons.
Each option also shows the trigger character for that mode.
Commands #
Commands opens the palette ready to run actions and shortcuts. Its trigger is !.
Choose this if you use the palette mainly to jump to commands such as save, backup, settings, add actions, and exports.
Transactions #
Transactions opens the palette in transaction-search mode. Its trigger is $.
Choose this if you use the palette mainly to find transactions, add filter chips, or jump into matching results.
Calculator #
Calculator opens the palette in quick calculation mode. Its trigger is %.
Choose this if the palette is mostly a working calculator for your budgeting or transaction-entry flow.
Help #
Help opens the palette in help mode. Its trigger is ?.
Choose this if you mainly use the palette to reach help-related actions first.
